Dear Financial Partners,

Thank you so much for your financial support and prayers. During last several weeks, I have been working with the Real Men board of directors in refining our mission statement and focus. We are writing a new brochure and preparing a PowerPoint presentation that presents the mission of Real Men. Let us know if you would like to view it! The following is our mission and key focuses:

Mission: Real Men of Integrity is a Christ-centered resource focusing on the transformation of men, their marriages and their communities.

Key Focuses:

1. Personal Transformation: Build men so they passionately pursue God and serve one another particularly through the local church.

• I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus (Phil. 3:8a).

1. Marital Transformation: Teach marital workshops so couples can experience spiritual, emotional and physical oneness in marriage.

• For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. The man and his wife were both naked and they felt no shame (Gen. 2:24-25).

1. Community Transformation: Disciple spiritual leaders so churches are revived and neighborhoods are impacted by the gospel.

• "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field . . . Heal the sick . . . tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'" (Luke 10: 10:2,9).

Beginning in Oct., I will be helping Lincoln's Gates of Praise establish a leadership core using Building Brothers materials.

Karen and I began a 10-week Sunday School class Sept. 10^th at First Evangelical Covenant, Lincoln, teaching marital relationship principles. On Sept. 23^rd, we begin a home class with 8 couples.

Previously, I mentioned working with HOPE (Houses of Prayer Everywhere) Ministries concerning lighthouse of prayer training in four Nebraska cities. I spoke Sept. 10^th to leaders in Kearney"s New Life Church and will be meeting with Hastings pastors Sept. 21^st. This tool helps each of us move out of the huddle into the harvest field -- neighborhood, work or school.

The following Lighthouse of Prayer Training Seminars are scheduled (call for more details):

• Nov. 1^st & 2nd -- Lincoln, Christ Lutheran, 4325 Sumner
• Nov. 3^rd & 4th -- Kearney, New Life Assembly, 2715 W. 39th
• Nov. 6^th & 7^th -- Scottsbluff, Westway Christian, 1701 W. 27^th
• Hastings: Postponed until the Spring

All are invited Fri. night, Sept. 29^th, from 8 p.m. to midnight, at Christ Temple, 500 N. 25^th, for City-Wide Praise and Worship. Please keep the above ministries in prayer.
