Dear Partners in Ministry,
Thank you so much for your financial support of Real Men of Integrity. You are truly partners in the gospel with us. Steve has continued living with us after picking up his truck in Wyoming where it had blown a head gasket. He shared his testimony Feb. 7 th at a Oak Lake E. Free men’s retreat. Steve showed slides from his mountain climbing expeditions in New Zealand to illustrate the quest to seek God in our heart rather than pursuing what the world has to offer. I shared thoughts from Luke 14:15-33 to show how each of us must surrender everything including father, wife, children, possessions and even our own life in order to be Christ’s disciple. We have the tendency to hang onto to these things instead of seeing ourselves spiritually as poor, crippled, blind and lame.
Here is a quick ministry update:
During the weekly prayer times each Thurs., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., we intercede for unity in the body of Christ and for unreached people. Please pray for Dave Janovec, 20-year-old son of Steve and Terese, who has cancer. They found tumors on his liver and small intestine and plan to do a series of chemotherapy at Omaha Med. Center. Another friend, Shelley Cook, also has lymphoma. Please pray for healing and wisdom for the doctors for both of these young people.
The Tues. morning pastor’s group that meets in NW Lincoln comes alongside other pastors by praying for them. We are visiting Christ’s Place Feb. 24 th to pray with their staff.
Continue to pray for the couples in the marital intimacy class that meets on Tues. night. Each face unique challenges and in need of spiritual breakthroughs.
Nate Eslinger is redesigning our web page at www.realmen.org and is designing another page at ww w.guidefor authenticliving.org to contain the Guide for Authentic Living. Another individual is laying out the first module so it can be loaded on the web in pdf format.
Our family is traveling to Aurora, NE, Feb. 28-29 to candidate at Monroe Evangelical Free Church for associate pastor of evangelism and discipleship. This church of 300 to 400 founded in 1885, contacted me in early Dec., and we decided to explore the possibility. I will have several teaching opportunities including the “Old Testament Walk Through” during the combined adult Sunday School class, roles of men during a Sat. morning breakfast and sharing our testimonies during both Sun. services. I also have a meeting with the Monroe elders Mar. 4 th so they can ask about my doctrine, heart and passions.
Prayer Needs :
Sincerely in Christ,
