Dear Partners in Ministry,

We praise God for good year-end giving.  We just sold our first licensing agreement to Pleasantview Berean Church in Bellevue.  The first module, "Fundamental Framework of the Bible," is ready for testing.  The sessions are described as follows:

Session #1: Does God have a purpose for my life? Walk-Through of the Old Testament

Session #2: Does God have my best interests in mind? Abrahamic Covenant (Genesis 12-15)

Session #3: Will I have to give up things to follow God? Mosaic and Palestinian
                              Covenant
(Exodus 19; Leviticus 26; Deuteronomy 28-30)

Session #4: Why is it so hard for me to obey God? Davidic Covenant and New Covenant (2 Samuel
                  7 & Jeremiah 31)

Session #5: What is the proof that I can trust God? Walk Through of Matthew
Session #6: Will I live differently because of Christ's second coming? Future Fulfillment of
                    the Covenants
(Matthew 24-25)

I am leading a men's study each Wed. morning at 6 a.m. at Bruegger's Bagel downtown and a new mixed group that meets Tues. noon. The metaphor of a trip

or spiritual journey is incorporated into the Guide:

·        Destination for Leader: The key teaching objective that the leader wants to get across in this session.

·        Key Mileposts for Student: The key learning objective for the student in this session.

·        Critical Path: Answers the practical or 'so what' question from the title of the session.

·        Warm Up: Students share what they learned from their homework and answer a thought question that relates to the lesson

·        Rest Stop: Small group discussion questions in bold type are contained within a box. The correct answers are underlined so the leader can determine whether the student's understandings are in the ballpark and if further clarification is needed. Of course, this does not apply for open-ended questions with no one right answer.

·        Our Journey So Far: The session is summarized and lead topic question is answered.

·        Driving It Home: Every student is given an opportunity to answer the final application question that reinforces the lessons learned in the session just studied to one's life.

·        Authentic Living: Exercises to do at home.  By at least the fourth week, we match students with a buddy from the group for accountability and encouragement.

·        Scenic Route: Additional information or study to encourage people to dig deeper into the Bible at home.  We normally do not cover this material in the group unless we give special instructions to the leader.

Leaders receive a facilitator's guide with student pages at the end of each session so they can be passed out during class time. The cost of the license for a
