Dear Financial Supporters,

Our third monthly time of intercession and information for city transformation occurred Jan. 6th in Lincoln (all pastors, leaders and intercessors are invited to meet the first Thurs. of each month, 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., at Believers’ Fellowship, 3336 N. 14th). After showing a video titled, Community Transformation, we discussed the next steps for Lincoln. A consensus of leaders agreed that we needed both united prayer and continuing research about the harvest field and harvest force (church). Please pray for Mike Steele of DAWN Ministries (Disciple A Whole Nation) who has agreed to come to Lincoln with another individual Mar. 2 to consult with leaders about city reaching.

Chuck Lane of Building Brothers led a Servant Leadership workshop Jan. 7th & 8th at First Evangelical Covenant in Lincoln. Several men from Omaha and Fairbury joined those from Lincoln who learned that when the body of Christ is not servant led, unity is absent, the person of Christ is obscured, and the people are lost. Men need a transformational environment that is safe, trusting and accepting rather than conformity where the climate is tense, negative and judgmental. Building Brothers enables local churches to network with each other and focus on the four-step process: Father Vacuum, Servant Leadership, Application and Pursuit of God.

I began a 12-week Old Testament Walk-Thru class Jan. 11th that gives an unbeliever the essential background in order to place his faith in Jesus Christ and the believer a biblical understanding of who his faith rests in. We meet at 1340 N. 44th Apt. #16 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

On Feb. 4th, we will begin an eight-week marital intimacy course that will train five couples on how to meet the intimacy needs of their mate. They will learn how to respond biblically to hurts that block oneness in their relationship. We will use resources from Intimate Life Ministries, Austin, TX.
