The body of Christ has little influence in our culture today. Christians and non-Christians live about the same on 65 common non-religious behaviors and values, according to George Barna.

In the church, we have seen much effort but little productivity. For the last 15 years, there has been no increase in the proportion of adults who are born again, in spite of American churches devoting more than $500 billion to domestic ministry during that time.

We must raise up visionary leadership in the midst of societal decay. The failure to do so will have long-lasting consequences for the church in America.
